This past week Global National News brought attention to the very important issue of Canada's population of individuals living with dementia. The four part series touched on various aspects regarding the topic at hand including care-giving, early onset dementia, working with dementia, and how our communities will need to adapt in the future to cater to those living with dementia.
As discussed in the series, it is predicted that the number of individuals living with dementia will grow over the coming years; Thus as a society we will need to strategically plan to ensure these individuals are provided with the appropriate care needed to address their needs.
